A beer with a Nordic soul

Lapin Kulta was founded in 1873 in Tornio. The town is located in the very north of Finland, on the border with neighboring Sweden. The name translates as "Lapland's Gold," alluding to both the region's long-standing gold mining activity and the beer's crystal-clear gold color. Originally a small, local brewery, the brewery developed over the course of the 20th century into one of Finland's best-known beer brands. Since the 1980s, Lapin Kulta has been part of the Hartwall Group, one of the country's largest beverage manufacturers. The original site in Tornio closed in 2010, and production was relocated. Brewing is currently carried out at another Hartwall site, adhering to traditional recipes.

The beer is made with clear, soft water from Lapland—an ingredient that beautifully represents Finland's character. The brewery places great emphasis on high-quality raw materials such as the finest barley and select hop varieties. Due to the harsh climate, most beer ingredients cannot be grown in Finland itself, but the brewery selects its international suppliers with great care. The brewery's flagship product is Lapin Kulta Premium Export : a classic, pale lager with a light malt flavor, mild hop bitterness, gentle herbal notes, and a pleasantly smooth finish. This classic beer is an excellent beer for between drinks, sweetening any occasion with its clear, straightforward aroma. The brand also offers non-alcoholic versions and seasonal special editions.
