The success story of the Schönramer Brewery began more than 230 years ago. The farmer Franz Jacob Köllerer acquired the property and brewery in 1780, putting an end to the long-term changes of ownership. Years before, Schönramer citizens were allowed to brew beer. There is a brewing tradition in Schönram that goes back far longer than 230 years. The Köllerer family, which became the Oberlindober family through marriage over the course of history, has held the brewing rights since 1780 and has lived up to this privilege ever since with their fine beers such as the Schönramer Pils. In addition to the beer, the Oberlindobers also care about their employees. An anecdote from days long past testifies to the family's big heart: Anton Köllerer, ancestor of today's Oberlindobers and former brewery boss, made it possible for his employees to do their work and still receive God's blessing on Sundays by founding a church for them. The brewery's own church ensured that the workers did not have to drive to the next town to attend the service. In this way, he saved them having to drive and also ensured that they could also start their shifts on Sundays. If the prophet doesn't come to the mountain, the mountain must come to the prophet!
Quality knows no compromises. The Oberlindobers have been brewing with this guiding principle from the very beginning. The high demands placed on their product and the pursuit of the highest quality have already brought the Schönramer brewery numerous awards. Beers like Bavaria's Best Imperial Stout... No wonder, after all, only the finest ingredients go into the Oberlindobers' kettle. Bavarian malt in the good company of Hallertauer and Tettnanger hops result in an excellent beer in traditional craftsmanship. The Oberlindobers master the balancing act between tradition and state-of-the-art technology with flying colors. The brewing process is a well-thought-out networking of centuries of experience with the findings of the latest brewing research. In addition, the Schönramer brewers put their hearts and hands into every step and ensure that the raw materials are processed as gently as possible. To keep the final product natural and lively, the beer is neither heated nor pasteurized.
