Beer is our passion and the basis of our work. We love barley juice and everything that goes with it. We enjoy drinking beer at every possible opportunity, enjoy talking about it and infecting others with our enthusiasm for it. The team at Sofia Electric Brewing would certainly agree with us on all points, but they even go one step further: For Simeon, Kami and Aiden, beer is a basic human right and they do their best to ensure that their compatriots and everyone else enjoy their daily life Ration of beer arrive.

When a hobby becomes a calling

Simeon Parvanov came up with the idea of starting his own brewery in 2018. The trained IT specialist brewed his first brews while he was studying. The hobby brewer has always been fascinated by barley juice and just couldn't keep his hands off it. Brewing beer in his student apartment in Sofia seemed obvious to him and he followed this impulse quite successfully. However, it would be another two years before the first brew saw the light of day under his later label Sofia Electic Brewing. The process from the original idea to the finished beer was a long and hard one, but Simeon was not discouraged. In June 2020 the time had come: the first beer from the brewery in the heart of Sofia was ready. Today Simeon is no longer alone with his dream: his small team also includes Kami and Aiden. Kami studied microbiology and took the plunge into the microbrewery scene. Aiden is a trained brewer and worked at renowned breweries such as Põhjala and Siren before his career at Sofia Electric Brewing.

Creative beer for Sofia and the world

By joining forces, the three of them want to brew beer for the people and make Sofia a center for craft beer. They want to build a vibrant brewing scene and create a climate in which creativity and the art of brewing intertwine and flourish. In order to keep their own range fresh and varied, the team often invites brewers from all over the world for collaborations or visits other breweries. The brewery's offering includes a colorful smorgasbord of hoppy craft beers and friendship brews. Fun, passion, creativity and joy are a big priority at Sofia Electric - the only thing that is more important is the outstanding taste of their beers.
