Whiskey is a distillate that has a large following. Many people like to enjoy a glass of this noble liquid after a stressful day at work. There is a more elegant way: The Vulkan brewery has come up with a whiskey that is distilled from 100% of the brewery’s own wort. The fine brandy is made from malt that has been kilned from a single type of grain and is therefore called “Single Malt Whiskey”. After the distillation process is complete, the spirit is bottled into disused wooden barrels that previously contained bourbon and Islay. Maturation in this aromatic wood gives the whiskey additional aroma and forms a flavor profile made up of ripe fruit, creamy caramel, peat and a strong smoky note.
