Oktoberfest is a magical place. Every year at the end of September, Munich's Theresienwiese is transformed into a gigantic playground for children and adults. Breathtaking rides, colorful carousels, a flea circus, shooting galleries, roller coasters, food stalls, beer stands, and magnificently decorated festival tents attract visitors from all over the world. The participating festival hosts pour several million liters of beer each year, and the beer is traditionally drunk from Maßsteins (liter-sized mugs). These one-liter tankards demand the best of the hard-working waiters and put inexperienced beer connoisseurs to the test. The Maß is an indispensable part of Oktoberfest and a fabulous souvenir that reminds you of the festive season in early autumn all year long.
