The game that even real beer connoisseurs fail at - and can learn a lot from.
"Guess the Glass" is a fascinating (blind) tasting game for beer lovers. Not one where you yell and howl. Rather, it relies on your sense of smell, taste and your expertise
Try a beer and taste and smell the alcohol content, the beer style, whether the beer is barrel-aged or brewed with other additives. Only if you can correctly identify what is in the glass will you get the points you need for a glorious victory and the respect you deserve from all craft beer nerds and sommeliers.
We play in two rounds. The first round is the qualification for the final and includes eight beers. The best four go to the final and taste three more beers in black glasses. So there are 11 beers to taste in total.
Please note: This event assumes a certain level of basic knowledge and not every single beer style will be explained! The event is therefore more for advanced connoisseurs of national and international styles.
NEW in 2024:
A total of 12 rounds of GuessTheGlass will be offered and there will be a GuessTheGlass Grandmaster 2024. Points will be awarded each evening as follows:
1st place 15 points
2nd place 12 points
3rd place 10 points
4th place 7 points
5th place 4 points
6th place 3 points
7th place 2 points
8th place 1 point
Do I have to be there for all evenings to have a chance? NO! Of course not. At the end, only the best six results are counted. Logically, the more evenings you play, the better your chance of eliminating your worse evenings. The maximum number of points is 90 points! No one can score more than that. If several players have the same number of points at the end of 2024, the total number of points scored will decide - so it would be an advantage to play more than six games...
Please note:
Registration is binding - and can only be postponed up to a maximum of 14 days before the event. From then on, 100% of the booking amount must be paid or you must arrange a replacement yourself.
