The Belgian brewery Bosteels is a traditional company like it is written in the book. Founded in 1791 by Everarist Bosteels, it was owned by the Bosteels family for over 225 years. The brewery, which has been shaped by seven generations of Bosteels, is located in the Belgian town of Buggenhout, just under half an hour's drive from Brussels. The Bosteels' love for their beer is reflected in numerous awards and their excellent recipes. This is Belgian brewing tradition, which we are happy to have in the Bierothek® range!

sense of family

In 2016, Everarist's descendant Antoine Bosteels decided to hand the brewery into the expert hands of the experts at Anheuser-Busch InBev. The deal was made under the premise of preserving and continuing to brew Bosteels' specialties such as Pauwel Kwak . Even after the sale of the brewery, fans of the brewery will be able to drink Bosteel's good beers according to the old recipes. Only by taking these requirements into account was Antoine Bosteels able to hand over the company, which had been in his family for over 200 years, with a clear conscience and confidence. With the sale, he ensured the continued existence of the brewery and the fulfillment of all the requirements of international growth and global demand.

Belgian peculiarities

The Bosteels brewery has been linked to the Buggenhout location since the beginning. The close ties even go so far that some men from the Bosteels family were already mayors of Buggenhout. The family has always cared about the city and its residents and their well-being has always been a concern to them. It's lucky that they don't just supply Buggenhout with their good beer, because we would really be missing out on something. Despite their love for tradition, the Bosteels still produce unique, creative and special beers. One that clearly stands out from its competitors in the Belgian brewing landscape is the Pauwel Kwak : an idiosyncratic beer with an exciting play of aromas and a great depth of taste. The other creations from Bosteels such as the Karmeliet Triple or the Deus Brut de Flandres, known as a champagne beer, are no less popular.
