Franz Xaver Zeller is actually an actor. But the Munich native, known from film, television and theater, has another talent in addition to the performing arts: brewing beer!
From the stage to the brewing kettle
When Franz Xaver sat together with his friends one cozy evening, the group came across a big question: Which light beer is the best in Munich? Heads were spinning and opinions differed. The result was a heated exchange of words, but with the best will in the world they couldn't agree on the tastiest light beer in Munich. In order to bring peace among his friends and to give Munich its best Helles, Franz Xaver took on the problem. Luckily, the actor happens to be a trained beer brewer and is therefore exactly the right man to brew a perfect lager for Bavaria's capital. Together with his friends, the Munich native took action and quickly founded his own label: Franz Xaver Bier. You can now drink the brewer's down-to-earth creations in all of Munich's trendy pubs. Since then, Franz Xaver's circle of friends have been back in good spirits and they enjoy drinking a Franz Xaver or two together and discussing things that are more exciting than the best light beer in Munich.
Something for everyone
Following the goal of creating the best Helles in Munich, brewer/actor Franz Xaver Zeller came up with an excellent Helles and appropriately named it Franz-Xaver . To give the whole thing an extra dose of sophistication and to honor a dear friend, the light is available in two versions: with Birte on the emblem and with the grinning face of the maker himself on the bottle. However, Franz Xavers Helles is not only characterized by its chic design, but above all by its drinkability. Subtly balanced, it dances on the tongue and delights with a subtle mildness. In order to make not only Munich residents and fans of light beers happy with his creations, Franz Xaver also has a Radler in his range. The Goldener Gerold is just as tasty as the light one and also delights the palate with a wonderful liveliness. Brewing a good Radler is a fine art that Franz Xaver has clearly mastered. His shandy is the perfect refreshment on bone-dry summer days and tastes particularly good when you stroll through the English Garden and watch the surfers' artistic stunts in the ice channel.
