Whoops is an expression you utter when you trip, when something falls from your hand, when you accidentally bump into someone, or when you miss a step while hurrying down a flight of stairs. It is an exclamation of surprise that has no real meaning, yet is often used.
The Camba Bavaria brewery from Chiemsee uses the same word for one of its creations, giving it a whole new meaning: In their case, it is spelled HopLa and is made up of the components hops and lager. HopLa is a cold-hopped version of a classic lager that has been refined with the hop varieties Citra, El Dorado and Tradition. The basic structure of the taste is based on Pilsner, Munich and caramel malt as well as a noble Bavarian lager yeast. The green gold contributes a beautiful hop flower with a citrus kick in the smell and enlivens the play of aromas with a tangy character, an abundance of sunny citrus notes and hints of freshly mown grass.
HopLa is a wonderfully drinkable, well-rounded and balanced beer that harmonizes mild malt components with cleverly used hops. The brewery recommends minced meat dishes and we like to eat a potato and minced meat casserole with goat's cheese baked on top and a green salad with this brew. If you are looking for a calm thirst quencher, this is the right place for you!
