Pfefferkørner is a creation by Freigeist Bierkultur and is assigned to the so-called spiced beers. In addition to hops, malt and yeast, a pepper brew was also used for this beer. This gives the beer its name and its wonderfully spicy taste, which harmonizes a great range of peppery notes with a playful, subtle floral undertone. The Cambodian Kampot pepper provides the pepper kick in the beer. This special type of pepper is grown under strictly regulated cultivation conditions in Kampot and, thanks to its aromatic intensity, is a true specialty among the pepper varieties. Kampot pepper is less hot than the usual pepper and has a diverse repertoire of the finest taste nuances. Really exciting!
Freigeists Pfefferkørner attracts with a fine bouquet as soon as the bottle is opened: the scent of a blooming spring meadow mixes in the nose with a mild fruitiness, the pepper provides a wonderfully spicy note. The initial taste follows the olfactory first impression on the foot and initially inspires with a velvety mouthfeel. Two types of malt give the beer its smooth texture and at the same time form a soft, mildly sweet base for the pepper. Pfefferkørner tastes spicy, pleasantly sweet and great like pepper.
