There are so many brewing types assigned to the Häffner Hopfenstopfer Incredible Pale Ale that you forget that it is an IPA - although not a conservative one. But does that speak for or against the hop tamper from Häffner?
Comparisons to a Witbier are permissible when it comes to color and foam, but only then. The glass presents a cloudy, bright straw-yellow beer with a firm white head of foam. If the nose is now used for evaluation, one thing in particular remains stuck. Hop. Also unusual for an IPA are scent nuances of coconut and pineapple - although far from those that would be reminiscent of a piña colada. So anyone who can cause so much irritation certainly has a wide range of flavors at their disposal. Sweet on the palate, sour bitter with a hint of mango on the finish, grassy in the aftertaste - the Incredible Pale Ale does not offer a defined focus of aromas, but is still complexly balanced. The message is therefore: try and define for yourself.
