The brewers from Störtebeker Brauquartier add a summer flair to their range with their Midsummer Wit. The fine wheat beer is brewed with a whole handful of extra ingredients and surprises with its refreshing character and special aroma. A potpourri of orange and bitter orange peel, coriander, Timut pepper and chamomile blossoms is responsible for the cornucopia of exciting flavors. The seasoning is complemented by unmalted wheat and results in an incredibly delicious, fruity-fresh beer.
Störtebekers Wit flows into the glass in a slightly cloudy shade of gold and adorns itself with a fleeting head of foam. In the first impression, the beer scores with a fruity acidity that smells of citrus fruits, summer flowers and delicate coriander. The flavor follows suit, delighting with soft cereal notes peppered with chamomile, coriander, citrus notes, white pepper and candied orange peel. A lively carbonic acid lets the aromas dance on the tongue.
The Wit is the Belgian answer to our typical Bavarian wheat beer. The top-fermented beer style is traditionally brewed with orange peel and coriander and is characterized by its fruity freshness and wonderful spiciness. In addition to these unusual ingredients, the Wit contains another special feature: unmalted grain gives the drink an intense note and significantly shapes the character. The Wit tastes best chilled on a warm summer’s day.
