A Pils in Friesennerz.
By packing his Pilsner in a bright yellow rain suit with a fisherman’s hat, Tilman allows himself a little parody of a well-known East Frisian Pilsner producer who prides himself on being genuinely Frisian and very bitter. But Tilman’s Pilsner is also – quote – “pretty bitter”.
But the Pilsner from Tilmans Biere is not just bitter. A whole lot of hops give the beer not only its Frisian-fresh tartness but also a wonderful fruity note. American aroma hops conjure up notes of tropical fruits in the beer and cleverly balance the tartness. Unlike others, Tilmans Pilsner is an unfiltered, untreated natural product. At 4.7% ABV, it is a slim pilsner that goes wonderfully with fresh fish and other sea creatures. However, we cannot promise whether the cancer on the label from Michael “Mixen” Wiethaus’ pen agrees with this food pairing.
In the sun, wind and weather, on the beach or in the mountains - the Pilsner from Tilmans Biere tastes wonderfully fresh, quite bitter and is our favorite interpretation of the classic Czech Pilsner.
