In times like these, when a senseless war has shaken Europe and the people of Ukraine torn from their everyday lives overnight, we have to stick together and stand by each other. The brewers of the craft beer scene once again prove that they are a well-connected team by putting together a whole host of auxiliary beers. Within a very short time, brewers networked across national borders and began to brew collaborative brews, the proceeds of which will benefit our Ukrainian friends.
One of these brews is MRIYA IPA, which is written Мрія in Ukrainian and translated as dream. The basic recipe comes from a joint work of the Ukrainian brewery Underwood from Kyiv and the team of the capital brewery BRLO. The brewers sat down at a virtual table and joined forces to create a beer. Not only do they produce this brew in their own brewhouses, but they also encourage other breweries to brew it and donate the proceeds to charities benefiting Ukraine. There are now more than a handful of different interpretations of India Pale Ale from all corners of Europe.
The BRLO and Underwood version is a 6.0% strong beer that combines delicate malt with juicy and tasty tropical fruit. Let’s get a little closer to the dream of peace with this beer!
