Since the wide range of products from the Hummel brewery in Merkendorf consists of down-to-earth, hearty and artisanally brewed classics, a Pils should not be missing. The Germans’ favorite beer can be bought in 0.5 liter bottles as well as in practical 5 liter kegs and guarantees a nice evening with the finest beer accompaniment either way.
A good Pilsner is tart, crispy fresh and shines with hoppy bitterness. The traditional beer style has a clear, clean character and harmonises wonderfully with light dishes, Mediterranean dishes or specialties from the grill. A delicious addition to a cool beer is, for example, a grilled trout stuffed with fresh herbs, garlic and lemon, served with homemade potato salad with radishes, dill and shallot vinaigrette. Served with a few lime wedges and the Hummel Pilsner, this simple dish is a real treat!
The brilliant, crystal-clear beer flows into the glass in pure gold and is completed by a white head of foam. A clear bouquet of hops fills the air and entices you to take the first sip with notes of light malt, freshly mown grass and delicate citrus fruit. This reveals a light-footed beer with malt, honey, lemon, grass and floral hops in the aroma. Hummels Pils is refreshing, subtly balanced and quite tasty.
