No, Sandy is a heavyweight because she boasts an extremely complex character and sophisticated flavors. It's not a beer that you just hiss at the end of the day. Sandy was created in collaboration with the brewers from Brewer's Tribute from Marzahn. The characterful Berliner Weisse is made with sea buckthorn, which the brewers painstakingly picked and processed by hand in the Brandenburg area. Sea buckthorn is bursting with flavor and is full of vitamins. In addition, the orange berry is extremely difficult to harvest and requires a lot of effort. But the result is worth all the effort and all the scratches you get while picking: Sandy is an aromatic sour beer with wonderful fruitiness, wild tartness and a sensationally smooth mouthfeel.
Sandy presents itself in an almost naturally cloudy gold tone in the glass and is topped with a crown of white foam. The unmistakable scent of fresh sea buckthorn rises from the foam into your nose and makes you want to take the first sip. This reveals a wonderfully sour beer with fine yeast notes, a juicy fruitiness and the luxurious taste of sea buckthorn.
