The can design of the Sudden Death brewery is a perfect representation of their beers: As a rule, the cans are loud and colorful, snotty and shrill. The same applies to the beers, which score with hoppy superiority and an extra helping of taste.
So we’re used to good things, but this time the ice hockey-loving boys outdid themselves. Once Upon A Time In Eternia is new on the market and with a gold logo on a purple background, it may seem quite stylish at first glance, but not unusual. Only when you turn off the light does the real splendor show itself: The logo’s golden ice hockey mask glows in the dark! Quite fancy, and what’s in the can is also impressive. Once Upon A Time In Eternia is a Double Dry Hopped IPA brewed with the Citra BBC, Idaho 7 and Triumph hops. Three kinds of malt ensure that smooth mouthfeel.
Visually, the beer is presented in a bright orange tone with a creamy, slightly tinted head. A real fruit firework explodes in the nose and lets you hope that the taste will follow suit. He does! A fruit tsunami floods your whole mouth, the hops are fruity, crisp bitter, finely grassy and exotic.
