After brewer Clayton aka. Amy already got his own beer, now it's Christian's turn. His nickname is Frank, the beer homage is also called Frank and is a Hexentäler Stout. Freiburg, home of the brewing craftsmen and the stout Frank, is located south of the idyllic Hexental.

Frank was originally a stout, the creaminess and velvety mouthfeel of which came from the brewed oatmeal. However, since the Bavarian Purity Law prohibits the use of all ingredients except hops, malt and yeast, the two resourceful brewers tinkered until they found a recipe that is just as delicious and just a tiny bit less creamy than Frank with oat flakes. Now Frank joins the long rows of beers that conform to the Beer Purity Law and still inspires with its dark aromas and fine composition of different malts.

Frank flows into the glass in strong coffee brown and adorns himself with a small crown of hazelnut brown foam. A seductive smell of freshly brewed coffee and fine roasted aromas rises from the fine-pored, dense splendor. The first taste reveals a voluminous body with a full 6.9% and a whole range of wonderful roasted aromas. Full-bodied notes of roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate for men and creamy caramel caramelize the palate and delight the taste buds with finesse. A powerful bitter rounds off the play of aromas.
