Felix is the brewer of Orca Brau and always causes a stir in the craft beer industry with his courage to explore the unknown and his inexhaustible creativity. Boomschakalaka inspires with two surprise ingredients: fiery habanero chilli meets fruity raspberry. An extraordinary composition of flavors!
In the glass, the beer is presented in a warm orange-red. The foam development is rather retarded because of the intense carbon dioxide. In the first sip, Boomshakalaka is slightly deceptive: It is bubbly, tangy and fresh. Summer raspberry aromas are reminiscent of a slightly sour lemonade. But the Boomshakalaka is only just getting started. In the body it develops hearty smoked malt aromas, the smoky spice of which play with the fruit aromas of the raspberry. After a warm-up phase with subtle sharpness, the star player finally steps onto the field. The chilli builds up an impressive spiciness that unfolds into the after drunk. Together with the strong wheat aromas, the habanero fades slowly and stays on the tongue long after the beer has been consumed.
Boomshakalaka gets the circulation going and the taste buds dance. But be careful: this is absolutely not the right choice for friends of mild enjoyments and those who despise chilli. No beer for the faint of heart!
