Due to their midnight-black plumage, however, the animals are also considered to bring bad omens and as a symbol of misfortune.
The Flügge brewery has always been fascinated by feathered companions of all kinds and features the cheeky little fellows on the labels of its creations. Now they have teamed up with Orca Brau from Nuremberg to create a beery memorial to the crow. Behind the watchful eyes of a raven with glasses and a top hat lies a bohemian darkness. This beer specialty is typically made with Czech lager yeast and Saaz hops from the Czech Republic.
The classic brings a full-bodied body to the glass and scores with strong roasted aromas, palatable character, deep black soul, wonderfully creamy foam and a spicy hint of hops. The brewers have proven their wisdom with the combination of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt and did credit to the crows.
