Rhodonite is the name of a mineral. Its name refers to the strong pink to red color and is derived from the Greek word for rose. Rhodonite deposits can be found all over the world and the stone is mainly used in jewelry design. The purple mineral is also used in esotericism: Rhodonite is said to have healing properties and is used to relieve pain and calm tense nerves.
The Bamberg brewery Blech.Brut was inspired by rhodonite to create a beer. In the series of brewing pieces named after colors and geometric shapes, Rhodonit Hexagons marks a can covered in dark pink hexagons, which contains a fine New England IPA. The India Pale Ale brings a good 6.0% alcohol content to the table and owes its creamy texture to the use of barley and wheat malt. The grain is joined by the hop varieties Cashmere, Idaho 7, Mosaic and Strata, which have a significant influence on both the aroma and the taste. While the green gold expresses itself olfactorily with notes of grapefruit, mandarin, passion fruit and mango, it also contributes a powerful hop bitterness to the play of aromas in addition to the juicy fullness of tropical fruit.
Rhodonite Hexagons is juicy, fruity, resinous and so bitter that it will especially appeal to the hopheads among you.
