Things are wild at Atelier Vrai: bright colors buzz through the air, hops are added to the brewing kettles in unreasonable quantities, artificial intelligences take over the reins from time to time, truths are obscured, people are encouraged to play pranks with challenging titles and sometimes everything is simply turned upside down.
The crazy Bamberg brewery enjoys circumventing conventions and breaking horizons. This time, however, the horizon was not broken, but simply tilted vertically. In the vertical horizons series, the team simply overturns the basics of physics and presents us with beers that set new rules.
Or throw all the rules to the wind?
The print on the can for number 1 in the series runs from bottom to top. So if you want to see the design the right way round, you have to lay the can sideways. Behind the clever zebra stripe image is a densely cloudy Double New England IPA that revolves around the Cashmere, Strata and Talus hops. The brew is called Schnurstracks, has a powerful 7.7% alcohol content and shines in the color of ripe grain. A tightly woven taste profile of intense hop notes awaits you. The barley and oat malt create a stable, almost grippy base and only very gently underline the hop fireworks.
