Guillermo del Toro is a master of dark fantasy worlds. In his films, he takes visitors into dark, nightmarish scenarios peppered with scary creatures, picturesque horror landscapes and mysterious myths. One of his most famous - and undoubtedly most terrifying - inventions is a large, naked, bony creature with pale skin hanging from his body in folds. His head is bald. His face has red nostrils instead of a nose, a toothless mouth and no eyes. He sees through two eyeballs placed in the palms of his hands.
A little less creepy, but no less disturbing, is the sister of these hands, which can be found on the latest beer from the Blech.Brut brewery. A green eye stares out from a frame with concentric circles and squares in yellow and black. The organ of vision is embedded in a hand with deep red skin and gives the brew its name Palm Vision.
Palm Vision is a single hop New England IPA brewed with Simcoe hops. In addition to the dominant green gold, the beer contains both barley and wheat malt. The densely cloudy, peach-colored beer has a thick, velvety texture and tastes of spicy pine resin and a whole basket of tropical fruits. The bitterness is reduced to a harmonious minimum and forms a great balance with the fruity sweetness and freshness.
