Filibuster is a political tactic in which one tries to prevent or delay decisions and proposals of one's opponents by talking too much. This method is used primarily in the parliaments of the world: time can be wasted by making unnecessary additions to the agenda, cleverly extending breaks or asking repeated questions. This time is used to do persuasive work for one's own cause in the background. Filibuster was already used in ancient Rome.
The beer of the same name from Atelier Vrai is significantly less tiring but just as sophisticated. Their Filibuster is part 2 of the Grainfog Series and is a New England IPA. The 6.7% brew has a wonderfully grippy, silky-smooth texture and a beautiful, dense cloudiness thanks to a trio of barley, oat and wheat malt. The two varieties Mosaic and Talus are responsible for the hop kick and juicy fruitiness. The green gold delivers intense notes of tropical fruit, which, together with crisp, sour citrus notes and a stable bitterness, go wonderfully with the creamy grain base.
Atelier Vrais Filibuster is a hoppy beer based on soft malt and tastes of sun-ripened mango, exotic papaya and oven-fresh oat biscuits. A hint of pine resin rounds off the pleasure harmoniously and leaves you wanting more.
