The new addition to the Schwarze Rose house is an interpretation of the IPA in the West Coast style. Craft beer has given new impetus to the cultural conflict between the west and east coasts of the USA, but at the same time helped the brewers to new heights. Both West and East Coast inspire with an individual variety of flavors, the inexperienced palate will find both variants simply delicious.
The brewers of the Black Rose have trained palates and can very well distinguish the different IPA styles. For their latest work, they dared to do a West Coast IPA and put their own stamp on it in a post-modern interpretation. Lots of hops are used in different techniques and stages of the brewing process, the result is a pine-fresh IPA with juicy fruit aromas, a velvety mouthfeel and a bitter taste, so crisp and strong that your ears flicker. Perfect.
The bitter-sweet masterpiece from Mainz flows into the glass in a richly clouded gold tone and shines wonderfully copper when the light falls. A thick crown of creamy, white foam crowns the beer and gives off a hoppy scent of lemon, grapefruit and pine resin. A touch of malt rounds off the first olfactory impression. In terms of taste, the IPA follows its smell and delights the palate with a juicy abundance of fruit notes: Tropical fruits meet citrus diversity. A strong note of spicy pine resin and the dominant bitterness round off the play of aromas.
