Die-hard beer drinkers are usually quite skeptical when it comes to shandy, and we agree that mixing a good beer with something else is not good for it. However, there are occasions when we like to reach for a shandy or other mixed drinks. The advantage of the shandy is its lightness and its ability to quench thirst. On a hot, dusty, dry day, we enjoy the combination of tangy lemonade and bitter beer, and a shandy is also a pleasure when hiking, mowing the lawn, or after a workout. Nothing beats a cool, freshly tapped beer, but every now and then you can try something different.
