Like many breweries, Brouwerij Huyghe has a factory that is favored by fans. In the case of the Belgians, this beer is called Delirium Tremens and has brought them not only the favor of their compatriots but also worldwide fame. The sinfully delicious strong beer was even voted the best beer on this planet in 1997. The audience favorite has now existed for 25 years. To duly celebrate the quarter of a century, the team has come up with an anniversary beer: Delirium Argentum appears in a limited edition and is ideal for toasting on this and all kinds of other festive occasions.
The Goldjunge makes quite a difference with a whopping 7.0% and brings a round dance of intensive hop varieties into the glass. To increase the effect of the green gold, the India Pale Ale was dry hopped. The end result has an impressive 49 bitterness units and enchants with a range of wonderful hop facets.
In the glass, Delirium Argentum presents itself in a chestnut-brown color with copper-red reflections and an ivory-colored crown. A spicy scent of citrus fruit, pink grapefruit and caramel fills the air. The first sip follows seamlessly from this wonderful first impression and ensnares the tongue with full-bodied toffee notes, which combine with citrus, warm spices and a fresh bitterness to create a palatable pleasure.
