The beers of the Grimbergen Abbey have one thing in common: Each brew is characterized by a unique flavor that caresses the palate with a fine taste. The Grimbergen Blonde is no exception and has already attracted international attention with this special characteristic. The cool blonde was awarded gold and silver at the World Beer Awards.
The Grimbergen Blonde presents itself in a sunny golden yellow with a fine head of foam on the crystal clear body. Elegant notes of citrus fruits, honey and grapes unfold in the nose. A velvety mouthfeel spreads in the initial taste. Gradually, the aromas of the handpicked malt bloom, which brings a special taste elegance to the beer. The fruity notes of the hops are wonderfully balanced: Mirabelle, citrus fruit and white grapes harmonize perfectly with the soft malt tones. In the after drunk, there is also a mild honey and caramel note in the aroma play.
The Grimbergen Blonde is a noble bottom-fermented Alt beer with a fine aroma in a perfect balance between soft sweetness, hoppy bitterness and refreshing liveliness. With its round, sweet variety of flavors, the Belgian-style beer goes perfectly with fish dishes and savory dishes. We recommend a spinach quiche with smoked salmon, capers and goat cheese. Served with a dollop of sour cream, fresh dill and a well chilled glass of Grimbergen Blonde.
