In the description of their Lambicus Blanche creation, the Timmermans brewery from Belgium paints a wonderful picture: The aroma of their beer is like the smell of golden, sun-ripened wheat ears and sweet summer evenings. These words bring back memories of warm nights in August with shooting stars, of walks between rolling fields of grain dotted with cornflowers and red poppies, of the evening song of birds, of days when it is so warm that you can still jump into the lake after sunset and of the odd scoop of ice cream with crispy waffle and whipped cream after dinner.
Lambiscus Blanche is a summer symphony that can conjure up the incomparable lightness of the bright, warm season even in the depths of winter.
The brew is made from young Lambic beer and flavored with freshly grated orange zest and spicy coriander seeds. In the glass, the beer presents itself in a delicate golden robe (a special feature for the style, which is normally a little darker) with fine cloudiness and a small crown of white foam. A composition of light malt, sun-kissed citrus fruit and forest herbs rises to the nose and invites you to take the first sip. The taste is made up of soft grain notes, sweet orange, green apple, subtle coriander and a fruity, fresh acidity. A dry finish rounds off the beer enjoyment and tempts you to open the next bottle straight away.
