An iconic ale.
London Pride is the heart of the range of the British brewery Fuller’s and is a quintessentially English ale. Only hop varieties bred in Great Britain are used for the preparation: the Target hops ensure a wonderfully fine bitterness in the beer, the Northdown, Challenger and Goldings types give the beer its aroma. The malt is the backbone and soul of the English ale and contributes a tasteful depth and balance to the aromatics.
London Pride was brewed with the aim of uniting British beer drinkers and satisfying everyone’s tastes with a stunning beer. It should be typically English and therefore not only enjoyed by the British, but also by beer drinkers all over the world. Fuller’s has won numerous international awards with London Pride.
The amber-colored beer smells wonderfully of hops and malt when poured. Freshly cut herbs and pine resin meet sweet raisins and dried fruits on the nose and combine to create a tempting scent potpourri. The initial taste reveals a voluminous body with a silky mouthfeel and a clean, crisp, bitter finish. The taste follows the olfactory first impression straight away: soft malt forms the basis for fine hop aromas, a complex taste image builds up on the palate.
The ideal partner for this tasty English ale is crispy oven-cooked chicken. Bedded on fresh root vegetables and marinated with a little butter, fresh thyme and garlic, the white meat wonderfully complements the complex beer taste and brings out the full range of aromas.
