The Advent season is approaching at breakneck speed and there is hardly time to look forward to it properly. The first advent arrives sooner than you think and then the joyous Christmas season begins. We look forward to Advent Sundays with gingerbread, stollen and mulled wine with our family, walks in the freezing cold and heavy snowfall, Christmas music on the radio, baking cookies, buying presents and wrapping them in colorful paper and bows, Christmas mail, well-filled Santa Claus boots , the daily door in the advent calendar and of course Christmas beer.
Many breweries give their customers a very special beer for the festival. These specialties are only brewed at Christmas time and, with their design, their alcohol content and the aroma adapted to Advent, ensure high spirits on the Advent wreath.
The Christmas Pilsener from Tuborg, for example, looks pretty festive. The tin is dressed in midnight blue and shows a happy snowstorm with dancing snowflakes and a cheerful Santa Claus. Behind the atmospheric label you will find a golden-yellow Pilsener that is brewed especially for the festival. The beer has an alcohol content of 5.0% and is produced according to the rules of the Bavarian Purity Law. The taste profile is similar to that of a conventional Pilsner, but in addition to the classic aroma, it also offers a small plus of malt and warm caramel notes.
