FrankenBROWN was Big Shed Brewing’s debut, even if it wasn’t the first beer that Craig and Jason brewed together. The two beer-loving friends put eleven years of brewing experience and practice into their business before they sold their first beer. For a decade they experimented, created, developed, and discarded recipes, supplying family and friends with delicious and less delicious beers. Only then did they make their company official and launch their first beer.
Big Sheds Premiere is an American Brown Ale brewed with a cornucopia of aromatic malts. The variety of grains gives the beer its strong character and harmonizes wonderfully with the fine bitterness of the hops, which were both brewed and used in a phase of cold hops.
FrankenBROWN flows into the glass in a ruby red shimmering mahogany tone and crowns itself with a fleeting amount of hazelnut brown foam. The soul of the beer can already be sensed in the scent: Strong roasted aromas of coffee beans and crusty bread crust combine with chocolate, caramel and smoke to form a ravishing symphony. The initial taste continues the pleasure and caresses the palate with a luxurious velvety. Silky notes of roasted grain, dark toast, oven-fresh biscuits and toffee caress the taste buds, a citrus-fresh hint of hops and an elegant bitterness round off the experience.
