The beer with the star on the label is known throughout Spain and is now also enjoyed in other parts of the world. It originally comes from Galicia: Estrella Galicia is a brewery in A Coruña that looks back on more than 100 years of history. The company was a family affair from the beginning and is now run by the fifth generation of the Rivera family.
One creation they are particularly proud of is Estrella Galicia Especial. The crystal-clear, golden special lager scores with its balanced character and a fine hop note. The brewing water comes from A Coruña and is mixed with Pilsner and roasted malt during the brewing process. A portion of corn gives the beer a lovely lightness. The Nugget and Hallertauer Perle hops are grown in the region’s sunny gardens and give the brew a strong flavor. A select yeast skilfully rounds off the profile.
Estrella Galicia Especial smells of fully ripe grain, gently roasted malt and caramelized nuts. The dominance of malt ends in the first sip, where the hops take over. Gentle notes of oven-fresh bread, roasted malt and caramel are complemented by freshly mown grass, fresh hop notes and a straightforward bitterness. The body is light-footed and refreshing, making Estrella Galicia Especial the perfect thirst quencher.
