Marshmallows and vanilla - if that's not a dream team!
The French brewery La Debauche is known for its unusual creations. The creativity is already evident in the labels designed by artists, tattoo artists and graphic designers. Each one is unique and each one is a real eye-catcher. Freakaboo is no exception!
The dark stout-style beer is brewed with real marshmallows and delicious vanilla. With 8% alcohol by volume, it is one of the weaker beers on the stout scale, but that doesn't detract from the taste. Freakaboo flows into the glass in an impenetrable deep brown and forms a hazelnut-brown foam head. The intense aroma of dried plums paired with vanilla, toffee, roasted malt and milk chocolate rises from the fine-pored foam. Promising! The first sip reveals beautiful roasted malt notes that conjure up a caramel toffee aroma in the beer. These are supported by the taste of grilled, well-browned marshmallows and the sweetness of brown sugar. Chocolate, vanilla and gingerbread spice also make an appearance. Freakaboo is a complex taste experience that ends with a subtle bitter note and stays on the tongue for a while. This stout is almost a dessert and goes perfectly with the cold season. Or in the warmer days when you stoke a fire in the evening.
For the next campfire, we recommend Freakaboo as the perfect companion to s'mores and stick bread!
