Kwas Epsilon is a Double India Sour from Pinta. The 7.5% strong beer is brewed with three different strains of lactic acid bacteria and inspires with an unusually creamy, soft freshness. Five types of hops also ensure a wide variety of flavors and plenty of substance.
The recipe comes from the successful duo Paweł Masłowski / Ziemowit Fałat, who are responsible for many of the highlights in the varied range of Browar Pinta. For Kvass Epsilon, the two had a beer in mind that was tropical and fruity as well as sour, sweet and bitter. Kvass Epsilon fulfills all these criteria and is a complex masterpiece with a varied character.
Kvass epsilon flows into the glass in radiant gold and adorns itself with a fleeting veil of white foam, which quickly makes room for the wonderful scent. A fresh, fruity mixture of tropical fruits, juicy citrus fruits and tart grapefruit fills the nose and makes you want the first sip. The initial taste keeps what the olfactory first impression promises: Dominant fruity notes of lime and passion fruit tickle the taste buds before the hops follow a strong bitterness and a wave of juicy orange. The malt adds fine notes of oven-fresh biscuits, but remains discreetly in the background. The fruity acidity runs like a red thread through the drinking pleasure and makes Kvass Epsilon a pleasant refreshment.
