The American Pale Ale from Lervig comes from Norway and not the Maldives, but it is still incredibly refreshing and wonderfully summery. Lucky Jack flows into the glass in a cloudy orange tone and is crowned by a small amount of airy, white foam. A seductively fresh scent of pink grapefruit, steamy hay, tropical fruits and soft caramel rises from the fine foam head. The initial taste reveals a medium-weight body with a tangy, extremely lively carbonic acid that lets the aromas dance in the mouth. Lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, orange and lime celebrate a wild citrus party on the tongue, the malt forms a caramel base.
