Although the Private Landbrauerei Schönram is one of the more traditional breweries in our country and can look back on more than 230 years of brewing history, the Köllerer/Oberlindober family at the helm of the company is not averse to progress. With beer creations such as the Bavarian Pale Ale, they prove that they are in tune with the times and respond to the constantly changing needs of their customers. Another step into the future is the recent decision to also bottle brews in cans from now on.
For a long time, the traditional brewery resisted this step. The reason behind this was the bad reputation of the can: many beer lovers categorically reject the container because they associate it with industrially produced mass beer and find it lacking in style. However, when the brewery looked into the matter in depth, it discovered a number of advantages. The can is much more manageable and lighter than the classic glass bottle. Because it does not allow UV rays to pass through, it prevents the formation of the so-called light taste, which is caused by a chemical reaction with the hop components and causes off-notes in the scent and aroma. Cans can also be 100% and very efficiently recycled and ensure long-lasting taste because they contain hardly any oxygen. In addition, glass bottles are banned at many concerts and events, but cans are not.
