Sibeeria Brewery

Siberia is an incredibly vast stretch of land that covers almost three quarters of Russia. The area consists of a handful of different landscapes that offer dark forests, endless steppes, raging rivers and deep blue lakes, coastal areas on the Arctic Sea and the Siberian Sea and majestic mountain ranges. A wide variety of flora and fauna populates the region, including numerous species that are exclusive to this location. The team at a brewery called Sibeeria doesn't come from Siberia at all. The brewers come from the Czech capital and adorn themselves - at least in terms of their names - with foreign feathers. When it comes to their beer, however, they have absolutely no need for that: their range includes a whole range of creative, handcrafted, flavorful and innovative beers that have completely convinced us.

Flying Brewers

With their humble beginnings, the Sibeeria team follows in the footsteps of countless brewers before them. As newcomers to the beer market, they did not have the financial means to purchase their own brewing system. They had to rely on the good nature of their colleagues and initially worked as cuckoo brewers in other people's brewhouses. The door was opened to them and they were given the opportunity to try things out to their heart's content. The first trials and experiments have already been rewarded with delicious results and the enthusiastic team was able to quickly put together a core range. For five whole years, Sibeeria celebrated the beer nomad life, brewing here and there with friends and colleagues. During this time, the brewers made valuable friendships and connections with other brewers around the world. Experiences, recipes and advice were exchanged and one or two brews were created in collaboration. The brewers maintain this tradition to this day and work together with beers like It's Gotta Be Something or One Night In Hell, which were created with the Browar Pinta and Ārpus . In 2019, enough beer had been sold to take the plunge into opening our own brewery. Gone were the days of cuckoo brewers; the flying brewery set up a cozy nest for itself.

From tanks to craft beer in just under 100 years

Sibeeria chose a very special place as its new home: the brewery was built on the historic site of the former Českomoravskà Kolben-Daněk group. The factory was founded in 1927 through the merger of two companies and has produced motorcycles, tanks, trams and electronic parts throughout its history. The site is located in the north-east of Prague and has been derelict since it was closed in 2000. Sibeeria gave the historic place new life and has since enriched its city with tasty barley juice and a contact point for fans of sophisticated beers.
