Beer Poker! (Including six beer tastings)

It's about poker – it's about beer – it's about bluffing – it's about knowledge!
In this new game night, which we will start in 2025, it's all about shining with your knowledge or at least outsmarting your opponents and having the most chips on your side at the end of the 12 rounds.
A total of six beers will be tasted over the 12 rounds. The winner will receive €5.00 worth of beer for each participant who participated. For eight players, that's €40.00.

How does the game work?
All participants receive 500 poker chips at the start. As with Texas Hold'em Poker, there is a small blind (small starting bet) and a big blind (large starting bet).

!The rules will be explained in detail before the game!

In each round a question is asked and a number is requested.
Example: In what year did the Bierothek Nuremberg open?
Everyone writes a number face down on a piece of paper and turns it over. Now the first betting phase begins.
The person directly after the dealer posts the small blind. The next person in line posts the big blind.
The person after that has three options:
1) Call (same bet as the big blind)
2) Raise (any bet above the big blind)
3) Exit (this round is over for the person)
This continues for all players until everyone has the same bet in the middle or has dropped out.

Then comes the first clue. For example: The Bierothek Nuremberg opened in an odd-numbered year.
Again, betting takes place in turn (the first player after the dealer who is still in the game starts!)
There's no need to bet if no one has bet before. Then there's the option of checking.
If all players have the same bet in the middle or have folded, the second clue is given.

Second clue, for example: One year after the opening of the Bierothek Nuremberg was a leap year.
Again, betting takes place in turn (the first player after the dealer who is still in the game starts!)
There's no need to bet if no one has bet before. Then there's the option of checking.
When all players have the same bet in the middle or have folded, the third and final clue is given.

Third clue for example: One year before the opening, Germany became men's football world champions.
Again, betting takes place in turn (the first player after the dealer who is still in the game starts!)
There's no need to bet if no one has bet before. Then there's the option of checking.
If all players have the same bet in the middle or have dropped out, the game is dissolved. Example: The Bierothek Nuremberg opened in 2015.
The player closest to the ball receives the entire stake. If multiple players are equally far away, the chips are split.

How high are the blinds (base bets)?
1-4 Round 10/20
5-8 round 25/50
9-12 rounds 100/200

How does the tasting work?
A new beer is offered every two rounds. So, in 12 rounds, there are a total of six beers to taste.

What is there to win?
The winner receives beer worth €5.00 per player. With eight participants, that's €40.00.
