Under the great motto "We love beer", the team at Brauhaus Binkert brews the ever-popular Mainseidla. A beer that couldn't be more regional. Brauhaus Binkert was founded in 2010 to mark the 1200th anniversary of the tranquil community of Breitengüßbach near Bamberg.
Starting a new brewery in Franconia is a risky undertaking, as Franconia is rightly proud of being the region with the highest concentration of breweries in the world. Brauhaus Binkert has not let this sea of competition deter them from their plans and has set about expanding Franconia's beer wealth with courage, innovation and sustainability by adding a few gems.
The range of products at the Binkert brewery was initially quite classic. But classic does not mean boring; Binkert's beers are contemporary interpretations and score points with their diverse flavors and high-quality ingredients. The original plan to brew craft beers initially encountered considerable opposition from Breitengüßbach's local bigwigs. They were certain that the population was not yet ready for the fancy beers of the craft beer movement. Jörg Binkert, founder of the brewery and head brewer, reacted diplomatically and started slowly. He took the region by storm and after just a short time was so popular that customers trusted him. So much so that at some point he was able to serve them craft beer almost unnoticed and was rewarded with enthusiasm. There is now Mainseidla Amber , Porter , IPA , Brown Ale and Pale Ale .
As a man of the trade, the term Gypsy or Cuckoo Brewer was no stranger to Jörg Binkert. Nevertheless, he was surprised when the first inquiry came one day. He welcomed the homeless brewer Jeff Maisel with open arms. Since then, in addition to its own brewery, Brauhaus Binkert has repeatedly housed Gypsy Brewers, brewers who do not have their own brewery and are dependent on the brewing equipment of established breweries. This means that a breath of fresh air is always blowing through the young brewery and the exchange between innovative brewers is promoted in a fabulous way. In addition, the higher capacity utilization made it possible to employ another brewer. So it's a win-win situation.
This extremely young brewery, which nevertheless uses the latest technology, has nothing to hide.
