The Hopfenhäcker craft brewery in Munich-Perlach stands for artisanal beer production. With great dedication, skill, and creativity, owner Werner Schuegraf (a trained and university-educated brewer) and his wife Andrea produce German and international beer styles. He brews his favorite beverage in a 1,000-liter brewhouse. The wort, the product of the brewing process, is first fermented (fermentation tank) and then stored (lagering tank) using a two-tank system. Werner gives his beer time: a long maturation period in the lagering tank means that filtration is unnecessary. This natural maturation process involves more effort. Special attention is paid to the hops, the essential ingredient of beer. Harmonious hop blends refine the beers.
The Hopfenhäcker brewery brews 8 standard beers and 5 seasonal beers. Some of these are matured in wooden barrels for a special taste.
Two beers, the non-alcoholic and the Bavarian Pilsner, are available in organic quality.
The beers are bottled on-site – reducing traffic and environmental impact.
