Axel Kiesbye is not just a brewer, but rather an institution in the beer business. The master brewer doesn't just brew beer, he lives it. It seems as if his life's mission is to spread the word about beer to the world. The Austrian-by-choice has been passionately committed to promoting the appreciation of beer for years and has already launched numerous beer-related projects. Wild in the forest
Axel Kiesbye has always been an outdoorsman. As a child, he was already fascinated by untouched forests and the wild; nature was his favorite retreat and a never-ending source of inspiration. On one of his forays through wild terrain, the brewer came up with the brilliant idea for a new beer creation: forest beers. Kiesbye wants to brew the variety of aromas of the forest into his beer, to bring the forest into the glass. To do this, he throws a variety of tree components such as branches, flowers, leaves, cones and fruits into the kettle and composes a flavor masterpiece that transports you straight into the forest. Kiesbye cleverly manages to pack entire flavor landscapes into his beer. A sip of forest beer and you're standing in a sunlit clearing in a dense forest, ferns are overgrowing the forest floor, birds are chirping in the treetops and there's a wonderful smell of dewy grass and earth. If you don't believe that, you should urgently open a bottle of forest beer and experience your green forest wonder!

Under the motto “Kiesbye Mission,” brewer Axel Kiesbye has made it his mission to establish beer as a holistic experience. Beer should be redeemed from its existence as an underestimated after-work drink and elevated to the ranks of culinary delights. For Kiesbye, beer is a complex, subtly composed drink that needs to be perceived, experienced and enjoyed. As the founding father of training to become a beer sommelier and an ambassador for barley juice, Axel Kiesbye has developed an academy for beer culture where those interested can learn everything about beer. Anyone who has seen Kiesbye live can feel how passionate this man is about beer. He is a passionate brewer and beer is his life motto.
