Anheuser-Busch

Anheuser-Busch is a name that runs like a thread through the international beer landscape. The Anheuser-Busch-InBev group of companies is a public company that has more than 150 breweries worldwide under its umbrella. The group is one of the largest and most successful beer producers on the planet and operates popular brands such as Budweiser , Stella Artois and Bosteels . The company is named after the American brewery Anheuser-Busch, which was taken over by InBev in 2008 and has been an integral part of the company ever since.

From soap and candle manufacturer to beer empire

A key figure in the history of the brewery is Eberhard Anheuser. Born in Rhineland-Palatinate, he emigrated to the United States with his brother in 1842 and earned his money as a candle maker and soap maker before deciding to change industry in 1959. He bought the Bavarian Brewery in St. Louis, which had run into financial difficulties, and got it back on track. When his daughter Lilly married Adolphus Busch, his new son-in-law joined the company. Adolphus sold brewery supplies and met Eberhard and his daughter this way. He fell in love not only with Lilly, but also with the brewery and brought the company steadily growing success in the decades that followed. To properly recognize his efforts, his name was added to the brewery title. Until his death, Adolphus worked tirelessly to establish Anheuser-Busch as a nationally known entity. His memory is honored to this day.

Beer for the world

The brewery empire today includes many brands, but the best known is probably Budweiser. This extremely popular label enjoys international recognition and brews classics such as the light and fluffy Bud Light . All brews are based on hand-picked raw materials. Most of the ingredients grow on American soil and are of the highest quality. The brewery has accumulated a wealth of experience in its almost 175-year history and invests in continuous research and development. An army of expert brewers do their best every day to maintain the high level of quality and taste. Community also plays an important role in its mission: Anheuser-Busch wants to set a good example and make a difference on both the smallest and largest scales. Employees, suppliers and business partners are paid fairly and treated like family, the brewery supports communities, sponsors clubs and supports charitable causes and has thousands of employees around the world whose satisfaction is a matter of the heart.
