In contrast to most craft beer breweries, which have only been around for a few years, the Boulevard Brewing Company is a true veteran. From Belgium to America

American beer was still quite monotonous and offered the regular beer drinker little variety. The trained carpenter then began brewing in his own four walls. Numerous experiments and visits to traditional breweries ultimately led to McDonald summoning up his courage and passion for good beer and setting up his own brewery, the Boulevard Brewing Company. McDonald's motivation and unique selling point for his own brewery was always the goal of making great beers with a strong color and an even stronger taste. Beers that could stand out from the American uniformity of the time. Beers for real beer lovers. The beers of the Boulevard Brewing Company were given local color and heart not only by the very individual recipes but also by the location of the brewery: due to a lack of alternatives and financial means, the American quickly converted his house, which had previously housed his small carpentry workshop, into a brewery. A lack of money and illegible German assembly instructions meant that it took more than a year before the brewing fun could begin. A long dry spell that was definitely worth it.

Good by nature

Bottling plants cost a lot of money, so the good beer from the Boulevard Brewing Company was initially only sold in kegs. A daring investor finally helped McDonald get a bottling plant and he was then able to sell his beer in more household-friendly quantities. Refined beers such as the Single Wide IPA and the Tank 7 Farmhouse sold like hotcakes and helped the Boulevard Brewing Company to great success. So great success that the small brewery in McDonald's house eventually burst at the seams and he had to expand. Today, the Boulevard Brewing Company's beer is brewed in a large, ultra-modern brewery that has so much capacity that there is room for experimentation alongside normal brewing operations.
