A place where beer takes center stage

The founders of this modern craft brewery are brothers Gary and Daniel Kurucz. After years of working in the hospitality and event industry, organizing countless beer festivals, and getting to know the beers of this world, they came up with a plan. Budapest boasted hundreds of pubs, bars, and cafés, but taprooms didn't exist back then. Gary and Daniel wanted a place where beer and its enjoyment were the focus – and it quickly became clear to them that they wanted to create this place themselves. In 2016, they founded FIRST Craft Beer: a brewery dedicated to producing uncompromising beers with attention to detail and character. The goal is to learn something new every day, spark innovative ideas, and show people that the days of bland, monotonous, and boring beers are finally over. Furthermore, the brewery aims to create a community in its hometown and positively influence the local beer scene. They have been inspiring beer fans from near and far with their enthusiasm for almost 10 years now.

The basis of all the brewery's efforts and its daily bread are creative, expertly seasoned, and cutting-edge brews, which can be sampled at several locations in the city and, for some time now, also outside of Hungary. Selected raw materials from the Budapest countryside represent the brewery's roots, while daring recipes and cutting-edge techniques demonstrate that FIRST Craft Beer has its finger on the pulse of the times. After long focusing on supplying Budapest and its citizens with the finest beer, the brewery has now branched out into the world: Numerous awards in global competitions have drawn FIRST Craft Beer to the attention of the international beer community.
