The Bierothek® team wishes you a Happy New Year!
Brežice is a town that bears the name Rann in German and is home to just over 7,000 people. The village dates back to a settlement in the Middle Ages and changed affiliation several times until it was finally incorporated into Slovenia. Near Rann, Georg von Schaunberg put the Turkish army to flight, it was the site of the Windian Peasants' War and was temporarily ruled by a peasant king and queen. Relics of these turbulent times are Brežice Castle with the town museum and the Mokritz and Bizeljsko castles. The hilly area around Brežice is also wonderful for hiking, the small old town invites you to stroll and you can enjoy fine wine from the Bizeljsko-Sremič wine-growing region. The only thing the small town was missing was a brewery. The team from the young craft brewery Reset filled this gap in 2020.rn
Like many people, Igor Zorko had time to think about his life during the pandemic. Instead of sitting around gloomily and daydreaming, however, Igor quickly founded a brewery. He found a hard-working team and brewed the first batches under the name Reset Pivovarna. State-of-the-art technology and excellently trained brewmasters ensure outstanding quality. The brewery has developed a high standard that is not only maintained but exceeded again and again with a lot of passion and a desire for constant optimization. The beers contain exquisite raw materials of the best quality and at Reset no compromises are made when it comes to taste. If you want to see the brewers' dedication and skills for yourself, you can do so on a tour of the hallowed halls. Everyone else can simply taste the beer and taste the attention to detail in every single sip. rn
The core range consists of ten different craft beers: India Pale Ales and other ales, a stout and a sour beer represent the team's brewing skills in a delicious way. One of our favorites in Reset's selection is Blurry . The double cold-hopped Hazy Pale Ale has a multifaceted aroma that conjures up all kinds of tropical fruit in the glass. Thanks to its moderate alcohol content and soft bitterness, the brew is extremely drinkable and feels like a culinary short trip to a South Sea island. If you happen to be in the area, you can taste Blurry freshly tapped in the brewery's own taproom. Everyone else can find the delicacy here with us.rn
Well done!
