Two Roads

In life, you usually have a choice of which path to take. There is the well-trodden path that has been taken by many before us, which offers security and reliably leads to the destination. And then there is the route that is more winding, more adventurous and more risky and is therefore only taken by those who have courage and are prepared to take detours. The Two Roads Brewing Company was founded by courageous people of this kind and has made the alternative, less popular road its corporate philosophy.

Four friends who are not afraid of the longer, harder path

Behind the label are four friends who took the leap to independence in 2012 and founded their own brewery. They have always been fans of the less well-traveled route and for this reason they named their company Two Roads. Together with award-winning brewmaster Phil Markowski, they have put together a sophisticated and diverse range of delicious craft beers. Due to their modern interpretations of American classics, they were named one of the ten best breweries in the United States by Paste Magazine and have received numerous awards in prestigious competitions. Although the brewery is located in a factory building that is more than 100 years old, sustainability and environmentally friendly production play a major role in their everyday life. Solar energy, water conservation, a sustainable lighting concept, the careful use of resources and the support of local farmers are not the easier route, but they are the more worthwhile one.

Two streets, more than 20 breweries

The brewery in Startford, Connecticut, offers India Pale Ales with strong character such as Two Juicy , light-flaky ales, tasty lagers and seasonal specialties - all hand-brewed, sustainably produced and subtly seasoned. In addition to the core range, there is a changing selection of experimental brews that are created in Area 2. In this separate area of the brewery, the brewmasters have fun with brand new techniques, unconventional raw materials, barrel aging and wild yeasts. This separate department gives the team the opportunity to test out ideas and repeatedly produces brews that are so good and popular that they are included in the permanent line-up.
