Like so many good stories, this one too begins with a beer. Or rather, one or two too many. When the three-person founding team of the Wolfscraft brewery sat together over a round of beer a few years ago, the guys realized that their favorite beverage had lost some of its variety. While lamenting the increasing monotony of modern brewing, they came up with the brilliant idea of their own brewery. If no one was brewing exciting, profound, and exceptionally crafted beers anymore, then they had to tackle the problem themselves. The crazy idea was born, and at first, no one really took it seriously.
But the fantasy had taken root, and no one could forget the beer-fueled plan, so the three of them took action, and their dream was transformed into a company with a mission. The brewery's name is inspired by the wolf and its independent, free, and wild way of life: Wolfscraft aims to be nonconformist and rebel against mass-produced industrial brews with good, honest, and diverse beer. The subject of the revolution are German classics like the Helle , which are given new character and flavor with excellent raw materials, down-to-earth craftsmanship, and a modern twist.
Every single move at Wolfscraft is subject to a philosophy. A passion for the craft of brewing guides everything they do. Because they want to remain as authentic as possible to Germany's centuries-old brewing tradition, they consciously avoid hop extracts and other artificial ingredients. The raw materials used come from certified organic farming, and the brewing water is the purest spring water from the Alps. Furthermore, the brewing process is not subject to any time pressure, but rather is carried out calmly and with a maturation period up to five times longer. True to its name, Wolfscraft also supports the protected reintroduction of the wolf in Germany. After decades of driving the animal from its territories, there are currently a growing number of initiatives advocating for the return of the wolf to our native forests. The brewery sponsors wolves and supports these efforts with financial resources and public relations. To ensure that both wolves and humans continue to thrive in the future, the brewery takes its environmental responsibility extremely seriously and is committed to sustainability and environmental friendliness.
