Beer is a delicious drink that quenches thirst. But it's also an occasion to sit down with your best friends, philosophize about life and love, toast to milestones, offer each other advice and support, and unburden yourself. This amber nectar brings people together and enriches every occasion with its culinary delight. It's the perfect accompaniment to grilled delicacies, sweetens the end of the workday, soothes the palate and soul, crowns celebrations, and transforms small moments into moments of pure enjoyment. Lenn and Laura from Zum WØL Brauart prove that beer can do even more with their creations: their brews are not only meant to taste good, unite, and quench thirst—they are meant to tell stories.
It all began in 2021. A burning passion for creating works of art from hops and malt sparked the idea for their own brewery, but it would be another three years before the first cans graced supermarket shelves. Due to the high standards of taste, quality, and backstory, recipe development was a time-consuming process. The first brews from Zum WØL Brauart were finally available for purchase in 2024. And from then on, things took off. The dynamic duo decided on short notice to submit their four-style portfolio to the World Beer Awards, and their courage was richly rewarded. First, however, they had to overcome a few hurdles. The fine beer had to be shipped from Saarbrücken to Bamberg in breakage-proof packaging. When it got lost in transit, a replacement had to be sent as quickly as possible. Everything went smoothly, and Lenn went to Spain with his family to recover from the ordeal. However, the relaxation didn't last long: shortly before leaving Spain, he received an email with a strong invitation to the German Brewers' Day in Berlin. Traditionally, the winners of the World Beer Awards are announced at this event, and potential winning breweries are encouraged to be present to receive their trophies. Lenn, therefore, headed straight to the capital and took home the gold. But the real highlight was yet to come: at the World Beer Awards finals, Wolf Gang's Black IPA was crowned the best India Pale Ale in the world. A resounding success for the young brewery!
Laura and Lenn's selection has grown steadily since then, presenting us with an illustrious mix of first-class craft beers and modern interpretations of classics. Love, passion, and a wealth of expertise go into every brew – you can see it in the stylish concept and taste it in every sip!
