Many imagine the job of a brewer to be heavenly: being surrounded by delicious beer all day long, enjoying a glass or two on duty and being able to brew exactly what you want — a dream! However, since most brewers are tied to the core range of their brewery, a touch of boredom can occur. In order to prevent exactly that, the Rittmayer brewery from Hallerndorf gives its brewers a free hand in the Craftmayer series .
This playful series allows for wild ideas to be explored, recipes and raw materials to be experimented with, and more daring brews to be made. The best part is that the brewers don’t keep the results to themselves. Rittmayer publishes a new Craftmayer at regular intervals and presents brewers and customers with a variety of creations.
The current Craftmayer is a Red Maerzen. The brewers have given the classic beer style a modern twist and a gorgeous copper color. The beer specialty is presented in a warm honey red and not only scores points visually: A fine composition of soft fruit notes, creamy caramel, roasted nuts, toasted malt and bitter hops flatters the nose and palate. If you are looking for a particularly tasty Märzen with a great look and even better taste, you have come to the right place!
